19,479 days and counting

As I approach my 19,480th day, I am struck by the speed at which life proceeds. I have fond memories of my childhood, and carefree days in the sun. I remember my first bike, guitar, girlfriend, and broken heart. I remember with excitement, meeting my wife, our wedding day, the birth of our children, and days at the camp...I keep these memories in my vault, they are mine to enjoy for as long as my memory holds out.

The last several months have been a very busy time. My daughter, my baby... left to begin her career in…

The Homestretch

By Colin McKenna

As we flip our calendars to May, the end of the academic year for Plymouth State
University, and many other New Hampshire schools, is in sight. The end of the academic year at Plymouth State University can be quite different from most other schools in the country. When spring finally rolls around, and with a little help from Mother Nature, Plymouth State once again becomes the thriving campus, it’s…

Don't Text and Drive!

Technology has allowed us to be connected with the world at any time anywhere but it can also be a threat to our safety from constant distractions. Drinking and driving is rightfully frowned upon in American culture, how many times have you heard someone say “I will never drink and drive”. Unfortunately, our culture does not hold texting and driving as shameful as drinking and driving but it is important to understand it can be…

Impatient for Spring

As March is almost becoming April...we are left to wonder when the temperatures will begin to reflect spring...I'm not saying that winter isn't beautiful, or that our friends, who are still on the slopes, shouldn't be skiing. I am however hopeful, that the yard in front of Belknap Subaru(grass...remember grass?), be visible soon. We have had a real winter in New Hampshire. It hasn't been blizzard of…

Are you ready?

I have used my snow blower more times this year, than in the past three years combined. I have shoveled what seems like several tons of snow, from decks, side walks, and driveways. We have moved cars, salted and sanded, brought in excavators, and used equipment we haven't used in a long...long...time.

While I am very happy for the north-country businesses that need snow to make a living... I am physically beat…

Love. Love, Love...

Today, February 14th is the Holiday of Love! This day we put aside our troubles, and worries...to wish the love of our lives, happiness and continued and renewed Love!

The origins of this special day, are steeped in myth, folk lore, and legend. In a nutshell, Saint Valentine is said to have performed secret wedding ceremonies for young lovers in Rome. The Emperor had forbid the young men of Rome to marry, as it…

Introducing Colin McKenna...

Embrace the Winter

Thursday, 06 February, 2014 by Colin McKenna

The winter in New Hampshire is no time to be hibernating in your home just because it is cold outside. Get up, get out, and try something new. There is no excuse for winter boredom in New Hampshire there is simply to many great things to do.

As an undergraduate student at Plymouth State University I have observed a trend on the campus. As soon as the temperatures drop the student population on campus starts to look smaller and smaller. Just the other day we had a snow day that…

Good bye 2013

As we say farewell to 2013, it is my great pleasure to talk a little bit about why we love being a Subaru Dealership. There are a great many products available to sell in the automotive marketplace,in New Hampshire,  but only a handful of people can say they are Subaru Dealers. It is a very special honor...the car, its customers, and the values shared by both are what makes this franchise special.

Let me say a few words about the car...reliable, unique, remarkable, these words are the best I can come up with to describe a vehicle…

December Birthdays

For those of you who were born in December, you know, that the present you are unwrapping, after the cutting of a "Birthday cake", is just a Christmas present wrapped in Birthday paper. Even the cake sometimes has vestiges of the other Holidays being celebrated, this time of year. It is a bit of unspoken, December Birthday knowledge, that the rest of the world is a little exhausted by Birthdays as we roll into the…

Heros

As we approach Veteran's Day, it is fitting to give thanks...but more importantly to recognize the amazing work performed by the men and women who serve in our nations Armed Services. They are noble and brave, they are there when disaster strikes, or when tragedy raises its sad face. They put country and service ahead of self and family, and at the end of the day, though they may be far from home...they are never far from our hearts.

On Monday we will pause to give thanks to each one of them...and we will say a…
