Performance
The new base Legacy models have flat-four 2.5-liter engines that produce 182 hp. By moving up to our Limited or Touring models, new owners get a sedan featuring a turbocharged 2.4-liter inline-four engine that delivers 260 hp. All of the vehicles have all-wheel-drive and an automatic continuously variable transmission. Despite having AWD, each powertrain enables the Legacy to offer impressive gas mileage.
Trim Level Options
- The Legacy base models come well-equipped. The exterior has 17-inch steel wheels and LED headlights. The headlights are designed to use less power while emitting brighter light. The interior is upholstered with fabric. The infotainment system has a touchscreen measuring seven inches. Control the user-friendly system via the knobs and buttons or the screen. Subarus Starlink technology enables wireless integration with Android and Apple smartphones. Bluetooth provides internet access. The stereo comes with four speakers. Two USB ports keep mobile devices powered and ready to use. The trunk has 15.1 cubic feet of storage room, which enlarges if Concord and Manchester owners opt to fold the rear seats.
- The base models have a long list of standard safety features. The list includes adaptive cruise control that monitors traffic speed and adjusts the Legacys speed accordingly. Lane-keeping assistance gives drivers a warning should the vehicle veer out of the lane. The system also makes steering corrections should the driver not promptly respond to the warning. The forward collision technology emits a warning should anyone or anything approach the vehicle from the front. The emergency braking assist slows or stops the vehicle automatically when sensors detect danger, and the driver does not immediately take action. A rearview camera makes parking and backing up easier and safer.
