Time is a very curious thing...it continues on, with, or without, our permission, or cooperation. Seasons change, weather follows, and it happens with either amazing speed, or at an unbearable creep. This summer has been agonizingly long in terms of seeing the people I love...they are far away from me, and the time between visits seems to be forever. When my children were little, summer was a time for playing on the beach, road trips, and family. Vacations were special...they allowed us to concentrate on one another, and forget most of the superfluous stuff that invades our lives. My son and daughter were and are a constant marvel to me. Phil Charte was many things...a gifted athlete, a smart, and really funny guy, he was a  captain of the wrestling team at Goffstown High School, in fact he was a State Champion at 135 pounds. He went to Parris Island and became an outstanding Marine. My wife and I loved seeing him at the meets, and laughing and joking with him about everything, and anything.
