What happens next?

Time is a very curious thing...it continues on, with, or without, our permission, or cooperation. Seasons change, weather follows, and it happens with either amazing speed, or at an unbearable creep. This summer has been agonizingly long in terms of seeing the people I love...they are far away from me, and the time between visits seems to be forever. Yet...the summer has flown by, we barely opened the camp, and now Labor day is fast upon us.

We are awaiting the birth of my son Christopher's first son. He and his wife are noting the slow…

People doing good work!

From time to time, I get a little down, and a little sad. The news is not good of late. Every day seems to add some new problem or misery. I recognize the world is not a miserable place. In truth the world is what we choose to make it...that is why it's good to sometimes look around, and tell stories about the good in every community. To tell an inspiring story about…

They make me laugh, cry, and think about what it means to be given the gift of parenthood.

I was fortunate to share…

This constant focus on problems, can lead one to a false impression of the country, and we...the people. It is easy to fall into the trap that one person or one…

On April 8th 2014, Kendall Ives left for Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. She had trained for nearly two years, entered the (DEP) delayed entry program a year prior, and visited the recruiting center weekly. When she left she had one goal...to become an Airman.

Remembering Phil Charte...On Memorial Day!

Phil Charte was many things...a gifted athlete, a smart, and really funny guy, he was a  captain of the wrestling team at Goffstown High School, in fact he was a State Champion at 135 pounds. He went to Parris Island and became an outstanding Marine. My wife and I loved seeing him at the meets, and laughing and joking with him about everything, and anything. Most importantly he was a good friend to my…

Phil Charte...and Memorial Day!

Phil Charte was many things...a gifted athlete, a smart, and really funny guy, he was a  captain of the wrestling team at Goffstown High School, in fact he was a State Champion at 135 pounds. He went to Parris Island, and became an outstanding Marine. My wife and I loved seeing him at the meets, and laughing, and joking with him about everything, and anything. Most importantly he was a good friend to my son and daughter.

Phil was a practical joker. At one particular wrestling meet, my wife fell asleep in the bleachers, and Phil talked some of…
