The World Wide Web is a crazy place. It has a wonderful way of making us neighbors no matter where we live. This week I received an e-mail from Rodrigo Belascuen. Rodrigo lives in Argentina, but while surfing the web, found Belknapsubaru.com. He found the page about Subaru saving my life, and sent me these pictures and this story. I want to thank him for sharing!
Rodrigo's story:
I used to have a Subaru Outback 1998. My mom gave it to me as she bought a 2006 Outback. There was this day, July the 20th, that I got rear ended at high speed (130km/h), lost control and trying to stabilize it I crashed against a concrete bridge. When everything calmed down, I opened the door and walked away. Cops wouldn't believe I was the driver, until they got closer to the car and saw it was a Subaru. "Lucky boy, you wouldn't be alive if you were driving a Ford Fiesta or Volkswagen Golf". Went to the hospital to make sure I didn't have any inner injury. Nothing at all.
Though I survived, I still won't get over the crash as I haven't even closed my
eyes during it. Such a bad experience but I'm glad I could be telling it. Going
to get a 2007 Impreza soon. I'm never going to buy any other car.
I know I'm not your client or anything, I'm from Argentina. Just wanted to
share this to you.
