March 20, 2015 A Date that will Live in Infamy...

With Apologies to FDR...

Yesterday, March 20th, 2015 -- a date which will live in infamy -- the Northeastern States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by Mother Nature and her cold and chilling winds.

New Hampshire was at peace with winter and, at the solicitation of spring, was still in conversation with the meteorologists, looking forward to bringing back baseball and warmer temperatures.

Indeed, one hour after spring supposedly sprung, air temperatures commenced diving into the twenties, and lower, throughout New England. With snow being dropped from above.

Mother nature delivered to our Department of Transportation a formal reply to…

Breakfast with Friends

One Saturday a month, I drive to Boscawen, on my way to work, to enjoy breakfast with friends. The third Saturday of every month is special...it is the monthly breakfast for the Horace Chase Masonic Lodge. This breakfast promotes fellowship, while helping to raise money for the various charities, and causes, supported by the members of the Lodge.

Horace Chase Lodge is deeply involved in the communities of Penacook, Boscawen, and the areas surrounding our Lodge. We support education with scholarship programs, we are involved with the Dare Program, and the annual Gettysburg address program, at the school. We…

Battling the Blahs...

It is January in New Hampshire...cold days, and nights, lack of sun, and being indoors, a little to much, combine to conspire against our better natures. Which is a gentle way of saying, we tend to get a little grouchy this time of year.

Sunshine plays a huge role in helping us fight the winter blues...I try to avail myself of any outside time I can. A walk in the sunshine, even if…

2015...and The Year to Come!

As we say farewell to 2014, it is my great pleasure to describe why being a Subaru dealer is such an exciting thing. While there are many fine vehicles in the marketplace...Subaru is unique. We have customers who truly "Love" our car, and they love the values, that Subaru maintains, as a company. The company's Share the Love campaign gives back in a way that is impactful…

Share the Love 2014

Of all the events Subaru participates in, Share the Love is my favorite. This annual event is a reflection of the customers who are part of the Belknap Subaru family! It recognizes the good in our customers, the good that inspires us as a company, and the recognition, that causes bigger than us, can be helped in dramatic fashion. In 2014 Belknap Subaru selected Community Bridges, to be our local partner. The organization provides critical services to developmentally disabled members of our community. We are proud to recommend them to all our customers purchasing new vehicles during the program.

We…

The Season Quickly Approaches...

As the season rolls from Fall, into the Holidays, we are reminded that there are many among us, for whom 2014 has been less than kind. We have to look around and see where we think, we can make a difference. This year we would like to shine the light on some local organizations, that work hard to, spread some joy to folks who have been struggling.

Cash N Cans is spearheaded locally by the folks at Mix 94.1. Fred Caruso, Jeff Levitan, and Amy Bates, and their staff,  do a wonderful job of organizing an effort to provide…

Doing what we must...

In 2013, an estimated 232,340 new cases of invasive breast cancer were expected to be diagnosed among US women, as well as an estimated 64,640 additional cases of in situ breast cancer. In that year, approximately 39,620 US women were expected to die from breast cancer. Only lung cancer accounts for more cancer deaths in women.

These numbers are startling and scary...even more so when one of those women is your…

Happy Customer!!

Our Service Department works diligently every day to provide our customers with an exceptional service experience. As I'm sure you can relate, keeping up with your vehicle's regular maintenance is not necessarily a fun task. Now imagine how you would feel if an unexpected vehicle concern arose on your way out of state, you've gone from "not fun" to perhaps "stressed out" or worse, delaying your arrival to your out of state…
