One Stop Shopping

Sometimes an idea pops into your head that just makes sense...it doesn't need a lot of discussion or debate, and upon reflection you ask yourself, why did we wait so long to do this?

That is why we decided to open up our service department to our Customers who might also own non-Subaru vehicles. It only make sense that if you have seasoned, skilled, and certified technicians, and your customers already enjoy the work performed and, have a trusting relationship with the advisers at the desk...why not provide true one stop shopping?

To be fair...we can…

Repairing things...

Whether we like it or not...ready or not...things break! I went to the doctors office recently, and was faced with an unpleasant fact. The knee installed by my manufacturer had worn out and needed repair. I couldn't put it off, it needed to be done. Fortunately I have a great medical technician who is board certified and completely trustworthy! I had the repair performed, it went absolutely without a problem or complaint.

While healing, I had time to think about comparisons between our service department and the surgeon who performed my repair. We both had excellent facilities…

Washington's Birthday

Things change...that's just the way it is...in this case, I believe it is for the better! Twenty, or thirty years ago, the President's Day, automotive sales, were filled with gimmicks, cherry pies, and sales practices that weren't always consumer friendly. High pressure negotiations, and uncomfortable environments, were common.

After witnessing some of those thing, we were committed to doing things differently. Our web site offers customers our prices and costs, it describes the Belknap Subaru Difference in clear, and unvarnished  detail. You can get an estimate of your trade-in's value, get your credit approved…

35 Years Ago...Today

1978...I graduated from Manchester Memorial High School. My best friend, Paul Nelson and I traveled to San Antonio Texas to audition for a rock band. We packed up travel trunks, guitars and equipment, hopped on a Trailways bus, and rode off...it was an adventure. Neither of us had traveled far away from home (well one time we drove to NYC to play our music in the subway...never found the subway, turned around and drove back home) but alas, we never made the audition, bad luck, and fate pushed us both into different directions. Paul served our country…

Best of 2013

Thank you Cars.com

Cars.com Names Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ Best of 2013

Bestof2013

As we have for the past several years, our editors have spent countless hours behind the wheel of every brand-new or redesigned mainstream car sold in the U.S., and from that group we've chosen our Best Of Award winner. This year is no different, but at the same time, it's a little different.

This year, we've picked twins, the Scion FR-S and the Subaru BRZ, as our Best of 2013 Award winners. These two models, co-developed by the two companies, are nearly…

Constant Improvement...

In 2012 Belknap Subaru enjoyed its first year, in its new location. We moved from and old steel building, which did not accurately represent the high quality of our people, and the service we offer. It did not offer our customers the amenities or comfort we were looking to provide. Our new location in Tilton is that place!

A beautiful facility is only half of what we believe our customers are looking for...service excellence, an experience that exceeds expectations, and vehicles that give our customers confidence to do, what they want to do, when they want to do it…

Share the Love...

It isn't everyday that you can buy a product you need and want, and at the same exact time do something good for a cause you support. Subaru's Share the Love event takes place at a time of year when all of us are focused on being Thankful, and giving.

As a Subaru dealership we are a business...but every business is comprised of the people who work here...it is Beth, and Artie, in service, Mark and Brian in sales, Mark Johnstone, owner...all of us living our lives, we have family and friends that all face…

Trick or Treat

As we spend a night entertaining little ghouls, and goblins, it is important to remember that across much of the east coast, many of our fellow countryman are facing a very scary reality, Sandy has wrought horrible destruction everywhere she has visited.

It is important that each of us take a moment to reflect and say a quiet prayer for them in hopes that together we can help them get back on their feet very soon!

Tragedy brings out the best in us, even as we seek to understand why something bad has happened, we strive to reach out to…

Corn Chowder and Chilli

October is the beginning of the comfort food season. The weather gets cooler, more rainy days, leaves are falling off the trees, and stomachs begin to rumble for good old fashioned meals. It is my favorite time of year.

In our family we love Sunday football games with our favorite teams, high school, and college athletic events, held outside, you can feel the excitement, these type of events are the perfect settings to bring you home, through the door, ready to catch a whiff of your favorite food!

Last Sunday, my wife was in the perfect mood to create, and…

What is a good deal...

Over the years I have talked to all kinds of people about what makes a good deal. It seems that there are a number of answers to this age old question. My personal belief is that a good deal is when value exceeds price, and the customer leaves satisfied that they have received the care and service they expect during the transaction. Car dealers and dealership employees often get a bum wrap...that's not to say that there aren't some people and places that have rightly earned that scorn, but the vast majority spend a lot of money…
