In the last year of my Grandmother's life, she was bedridden, did not
speak, and did not recognize her family. It was heartbreaking to visit

grandmother was an exceptional person, she helped my Dad raise us, she
was a kind, gentle, soul, whose love was unconditional. More frustrating
still, was the lack of information, understanding and hope offered by
those who provided care. The treatment then, was to make them as
comfortable as possible, and wait for the end.

The staff of Belknap Subaru wishes it's own, Airman Kendall Ives, best wishes, and our pride in her service, as she prepares to deploy to Kosovo in April. She visited New Hampshire last week in preparation for the six-month assignment, to visit with family and friends. Kendall was a very big presence at Belknap Subaru...she was part of the recon crew, she was famous for always having a giant smile, and a cheerful disposition.
