The new 2017 Impreza motors anywhere on the strength of its 2.0-liter, four-cylinder boxer engine that puts out 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque, which is more than sufficient for a car of this size. The EPA rates the 2017 Impreza at at 32 mpg combined for the sedan and 31 mpg combined for the hatchback, with the continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).
