Every year the Lake's Region is host to a great gathering of motorcycles and their riders, for Bike week. It is an event that draws thousands and while it does cause some extra traffic, it is a boon to our local economy. On my way to work this morning I saw a seemingly endless stream of shiny new bikes, and their proud owners. I 93 looked like a giant Harley dealership, or a motorcycle parade.
The organizers moved the event by a week...that simple change seemed to have been rewarded by the best weather we have had in quite a few years. I am very happy for the event...they could not have enjoyed better weather, if they had special ordered it. It's nice to see the restaurants and local businesses full and thriving. It's also nice to see the happy faces of people enjoying all that the Lake's Region offers.
Please remember that our two, and three wheeled friends will be out there, and caution while driving, will make the roads friendly and safe for all...The rumble of the motorcycle will be with us even after Bike week is done...so remember watch for motorcycles...and lets have a safe Subaru Summer!
