I wasn't available for the first Thanksgiving...but the message of the first celebration of the Holiday, was so powerful, that George Washington, and Abraham Lincoln, decided that it was a tradition worth keeping.

Taking time for reflection, and expression, of those things that have been blessings in our lives, is a truly worthy endeavor. As for me, it is a holiday, that I find one of the most satisfying. One need not purchase gifts, worry about size, price, color, or its arrival. You simply spend time with people you love,  enjoying a lovely meal,. It really doesn't get better than that.

Tonight my wife and I will enjoy a glass of wine, as we make the stuffing which will fill our turkey. We will laugh, taste, season, and taste again our special recipe, until it is just right. We will sit by the fireplace, and talk about what we need to do before company arrives, and we will enjoy our daughter's company...each moment will be precious, as she is soon to leave for Air Force Boot Camp.

I am thankful for a wife who is everything to me and our family. I am thankful for a son, who has found his perfect match, and is beginning his life with that special lady! I am thankful for a daughter, who is so much like her Mom, strong, beautiful, and at the very beginning of her next adventure. I am grateful for good friends, a job I love, and people I love to work with. I am grateful for great customers, and a product that makes me proud to represent it. Lastly I am thankful to live in a country, where I can celebrate these things in the manner I choose!

Thanksgiving, kicks off the Holiday season. It is a time of healing and Joy...it is also a time, when we reflect on, and remember, those in our families, that have passed. My family will miss my wife's Mom...Nan... She is in our hearts, prayers, and thoughts...she loved this time of year...and we will do our best to honor her love, by being close together, as a family should, and remembering her !

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
