We live in a beautiful part of the state. Everywhere you look you can see something wonderful! Sometimes we do not appreciate that simple fact. My wife and I have a hobby that is designed to remind us of the wonders in our backyard. We go rambling...nothing fancy, we just get in the car and drive. We look for back roads and simply see what there is to see.
Our last ramble took us over to Moultonborough. We visited the Country Store and picked up some fun things for the kitchen and a old fashioned soda. We took the back roads and found some beautiful views, and on Plymouth Road, there is a beautiful series of gardens, right by the Center Harbor Historical Society.
On the way back we found a wonderful little Jewelry shop that also had granite yard pieces and fountains...beautifully done, and they are friendly folks to visit with. We took a few more back roads and came upon a stretch of road with the most beautiful old stone wall, it went for miles. Bonnie and I marveled at the work that went into building that wall, and the beauty that was well over a century old!
New Hampshire is a special place, we have the Flume, Lost River, Echo Lake, Winnepesaukee, and so many amazing spots...but if you really want to understand just how unique New Hampshire is...take a ramble down the back roads where you live...now that my friends, will truly amaze you! And finally with no apologies for a shameless plug...a ramble is better in a Subaru!
