No Purchase Necessary...

We aren't asking for money...not one dime...no one will be collecting funds. No purchase is required to participate. Instead we ask you to come to Belknap Subaru, and write a few kind words of encouragement. A message of hope...patients fighting leukemia, and lymphoma, are waging a battle against this very persistent foe. Yet we can help them with their fight!

The messages are starting to come in...positive and strong! Subaru owners, banding together, to help people they may have never met, and may never know...armed with the knowledge that hope is the most powerful…

Some Gave All...

This is a re-print of an annual post. I run this to remember a very good man!

Phil Charte was many things...a gifted athlete, a smart, and really funny guy, he was a  captain of the wrestling team at Goffstown High School, in fact he was a State Champion at 135 pounds. He went to Parris Island and became an outstanding Marine. My wife and I loved seeing him at the meets, and laughing and joking with him about everything and anything. Most importantly he was a good friend to my son and daughter.

Phil was a practical joker…

Team Timmons...Walking for Hope!

In the last year of my Grandmother's life, she was bedridden, did not speak, and did not recognize her family. It was heartbreaking to visit her, hold her hand, and realize that she didn't recognize us. My grandmother was an exceptional person, she helped my Dad raise us, she was a kind, gentle, soul, whose love was unconditional. More frustrating still, was the lack of information, understanding and hope offered by those who provided care. The treatment then, was to make them as comfortable as possible, and wait for the end.

I felt a deep sorrow for all…

Stand with Our Veterans

In so many ways, Veterans are an important part of our community. They are driven by purpose, and a desire to serve. They leave their homes, and family's, for faraway places, simply because they give their word to do so. I marvel at the commitment, and the discipline they exemplify by the very act of their service. I am proud to be in their presence.

Far too often when they return they find it difficult to obtain the help and care they have EARNED for their service. I ask you to not stand silent to their needs...I ask…

My First Car

Everyone remembers their first car...it is a right of passage that gives you the first taste of adult freedom. It is a satisfying moment...even when it is unspoken, parents telling you, we trust you to go places by yourself.

My Dad was in the car business. he had promised me my Mom's 1962 Plymouth Valiant, with only one catch...a report card with B's or better...I  of course got one C and a D thereby missing that opportunity.

My Dad sold the car and told me if I wanted a vehicle I would have to…

Best wishes and Pride

The staff of Belknap Subaru wishes it's own, Airman Kendall Ives, best wishes, and our pride in her service, as she prepares to deploy to Kosovo in April. She visited New Hampshire last week in preparation for the six-month assignment, to visit with family and friends. Kendall was a very big presence at Belknap Subaru...she was part of the recon crew, she was famous for  always having a giant smile, and a cheerful disposition. She is currently stationed in Germany...and is missed every day! She is shown above with her Brother Chris, and her two nephews, Leighton…

Drinking Tea...

One of the great joys of adding years to your life...is the realization that life is a full contact sport. At some point you come to the conclusion that life doesn't just happen, you have an active roll in deciding how things will be. You begin to try new things, you grow in your understanding of choices and opportunities.

I had a Birthday this year...fifty five...I look around and see theā€¦

Good Bye 2015...

As we say farewell to 2015, and prepare to welcome the New Year...it is my great pleasure to talk a little bit about why we love what we do, here at Belknap Subaru.

There are a great many products available to sell in the automotive marketplace, but only a handful of people can say they are Subaru Dealers. It is a very special honor...the car, our customers, and the values shared by both, are what makes this job great.

Let me say a few words about the car...reliable, unique, remarkable, these words are the best I can…
