 HK Powersports Land, Lake and Air Poker Run Raises Nearly $60,000 for Easter Seals of New Hampshire

Participants enjoyed the sunshine as then traveled in, around and above the lake at this year's extra special 75th Anniversary celebration for Easter Seals NH at the 11th Annual HK Powersports Land and Lake Poker Run, at the Naswa Resort on Lake Winnipesaukee on Saturday, July 9. This event is the region's hottest land, lake and air Poker Run and was dedicated to Peter Makris and Mike Whalley. Participants traveled by car, motorcycle, boats, personal watercraft, trucks and even by seaplane, raising nearly $60,000 for Easter Seals programs and services, which also includes significant revenue from the Lodge at Belmont Gaming Nights and Casino Tent.

Participants collected poker chips from a variety of fun, theme-based checkpoints on and around Lake Winnipesaukee before heading to the Naswa Resort to play their poker hand and enjoy the huge beach party loaded with an amazing buffet by Sysco, water games by Coors Light and Kids Only, and other family-fun activities throughout the day.

Congratulations to Keith Hardy of Northfield, NH, the land winner, and Steve Puglia of North Andover, MA, the lake winner, for the best poker hands. Harley-Davidson of Manchester and Nashua sponsored the cash prizes for each winning hand.

Grand prize raffle winners were: Jim Peck, of Londonderry, NH, received the Polaris Ranger 400 4x4 UTV. Caroline Grady, of Oxbridge, Ma received an Old Town Guide 14.7" Canoe and Jason Houde, of Littleton, MA received an Ocean Malibu Two 14' Kayak. These prizes were donated by Polaris and Irwin Marine.

Also in attendance to this year's event were Miss New Hampshire Reagan Hartley and, Miss Winnipesaukee Lissa Silk.

Let the party begin! This year we'll celebrate the 11th Anniversary of the HK Powersports Land & Lake Poker Run for Easter Seals NH on Saturday, July 9th! We promise a fun-filled day with some exciting new activities!

After participants stop at land and lake checkpoints to collect poker chips?everyone's last stop will be the famous Naswa Resort and Beach Bar. In addition to trading in your chips for a poker hand, all participants will be treated to a fabulous BBQ lunch, and have the opportunity to win an Ocean Malibu Two 14' Kayak, an Old Town Guide 14.7' Canoe or, the Grand Prize, a Polaris Ranger 400 4x4 ATV.

To celebrate Easter Seals New Hampshire's 75th Anniversary, this year's event will feature NEW games with a poker flair including a prize wheel and lucky draws! We've got lots of special surprises planned, too!

Grand prize raffle winners were: Scott Verdonck, of Goffstown, NH, received a Sea Doo GTI SE 155 Watercraft with trailer. Mary Michand of Alton Bay, NH, received an Ultimate BBQ Survival Kit, Rich Hines from the Lakes Region, received an Old Towne guide 14.7' Canoe and Katherine Girouard of Merrimack, NH, received an Old Town Otter XT 11' Kayak. These prizes were courtesy of SeaDoo, Suzuki, Lowe's, CVS, and Irwin Marine.
